JOB DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES INTERN

LOCATION: HURON

REPORTS TO: CFO

FLSA  STATUS: NON EXEMPT

DEVELOPED: 4-21

 

SUMMARY

The position will work collaboratively with the HR Director and HR Team.  HR Intern responsibilities include updating our employee records with new hire information, screening resumes and scheduling interviews.   This internship will be responsible for: digitizing all agency personnel files, assisting HR specialist with various projects including confidential and personal information requiring the utmost discretion.  HR intern will work collaboratively with organization leadership, enhancing knowledge and skills and improving the delivery of quality healthcare. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attend training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.

EXPECTATIONS

Community Counseling Services expects employees to be welcoming to consumers, including those with co-occurring disorders, and engaging them at their current stage of recovery. Services provided will be in accordance with the plans and guidelines as established by Community Counseling Services and the State Division of Behavioral Health.  Portray and encourage civility to all clients, customers, employees, community partners and vendors.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Working toward a minimum of a 2-year degree in an business, human resources or healthcare administration
  • Highly organized
  • Confidentiality is required

 

Certificates, licenses, registrations

Valid South Dakota Driver’s license

Other qualifications

  • Must not be excluded from participating in Medicare, Medicaid, and any Federal health care program, as provided by the OIG, USDHHS.

Supervisory Responsibilities none

    • Attend interviews
    • New employee orientations
