Community Counseling Services adds SOC Provider in Huron

The State of South Dakota has undergone inspiring transformational changes as they continue to build a framework for statewide partnership and progress toward an integrated System of Care (SOC) that provides individualized services and supports for children, youth, and families.

Karlie Olson

The Division of Behavioral Health awarded Community Counseling Service and the Huron School District the opportunity to partner together to integrate the System of Care (SOC) program into the Huron community.  This program has families and youth work in partnership to design services and supports that are coordinated, individualized, community-based, youth and family-driven, build on the strengths of individuals, and address each person’s cultural and linguistic needs in a hopeful, welcoming, and engaging manner.

Karlie Olson, BSW is the current System of Care Coordinator for the Huron community.  Karlie has been working with children and families with CCS since 2018 and has been in the social work field for the last 10 years.
