Wellbriety Medicine Wheel Group

To help meet the needs of individuals in recovery from addiction of any kind.

The power of a 12-step program is blended with the power of the traditional Medicine Wheel teaching and American Indian ceremonies and will meet the needs of individuals in recovery from addiction of any kind.

Girl's only!

A closed group designed to promote self-esteem, develop life skills, and inspire positive motivation in a positive peer environment.

“Girls Only!” is a gender-specific, prevention, and psycho-education program created for girls ages 8 to 15. Designed to inspire and promote self-love, self-esteem, and motivation. Developed to foster productive life skills, healthy coping skills, and decision-making skills.

POWER THINKERS uses the Superflex - Social Thinking Methodology. This methodology embraces working directly with individuals with social learning differences, difficulties, and disabilities. The curriculum is designed to promote the use of visual supports, modeling, naturalistic teaching, and self-management. Many components of the methodology fit well into the multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) and the research-based implementation framework of Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS).

Who Qualifies:

Ages 7-10 - Co-Ed

Summer of Feelings

A safe group for youth to explore emotions, build coping skills and grow stronger inside and out.

Proof of Action:

This group is based on the "Inside Out 2 and Social & Emotional Learning: A Movie Guide and Lesson Plan for Your Classroom." This sequel movie guide helps address and explore kids' evolving emotions, sense of self, and anxiety. Over the course of 7-weeks, the paticipants will focus on emotional awareness, develop productive coping skills, and practive social-emotional learning through safe, structured group activities.

Who Qualifies:

Co-ed group for ages 9-12

Building Foundational Friendships

This group will use a mix of Psychoeducation and Behavioral Activation techniques to work on building social skills, confidence, increase self-love, and practice creating new friendships.

Who Qualifies:

Girls group for 8-10yr olds

Food and Feelings Group

This is NOT a diet program or diet group. This group will effectively explores strategies on how to appropriately process emotions instead of burying them in food-related behaviors. We will use CBT to identify mindfulness, triggers and awareness of the relationship between food and emotions and how to manage this.

Who Qualifies:

Adult clients - ladies over 30 year old.

Learning the Ropes: Basic Life Skills

Participants will learn skills in a number of facets related to young adulthood to set them up for success after high school. Areas of focus include personal health/grooming, budgeting, making and keeping goals, problem solving and decision making, behavioral skills, and social skills.

Crafting Connections: Emotional Wellness for Adolescents

Girls in 4th & 5th grade will come together to form connections, express their feelings, & learn skills through various crafts. Everyday will be a new craft that explores friendships, positivity, emotional regulation, and self-esteem.

Proof of Action:

This group uses “Painting for Prevention” by the University of Memphis School of Social Work, to encourage the participant to express themselves through art. The “Self-Love for Kids” curriculum, written by Keri K. Powers, is also implemented in order to help children learn skills to manage worries and build confidence to succeed.

Who Qualifies:

Girls group for 4th & 5th grade.

Mindset Masters

Group members will learn about a growth mindset and how to apply these concepts. Group members will engage in activities related to improving their mindset, identifying and managing emotions, practicing communication skills, showing empathy, and providing peer support.

Self-Care For Women

This group utilize the "Self-care for women" book, to provide support to women in establishing and maintaining an approach to self care that fits into their unique life circumstances, strengths, challenges, and needs.

This group utilizes the strengths-based model in supporting clients utilizing their strengths to promote self-care.

Prime For Life

There are 3 units that the material of the program falls under:
Exploring Unit: Examines the perception of personal risk for all substances.
Reflecting Unit: Illustrates the progression toward addiction and allows participants to assess where they might be on that path.
Protecting Unit: Guides preparation for personal change.

Prime for Life (PFL) is an evidence-based program that helps people change their drinking and drug use behaviors. Prime is for middle school aged students to young adults who are making high risk choices and/or because you or a parent(s) is concerned about the high risk choices being made.

Trauma Informed Parenting

This 6 week course addresses:
Trauma 101
Understanding the effects of trauma
Understanding feeling & behaviors

The material used in this group is based on SAMHSA’s The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) – Caring for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma. Combining knowledge of child development, expertise in the full range of child traumatic experience, and attention to cultural perspectives, the NCTSN serves as a national resource for developing and disseminating evidence-based interventions, trauma-informed services, and public and professional education.

Who Qualifies:

Parents with children who have experienced trauma and are part of their healing process

Whole Health: A Holistic Approach to Self-Care both Physical and Mental Health: The key to Holistic and healing self-care is noticing what we need and asking ourselves the right questions.

This group will help those individuals that are in recovery move forward toward becoming a part of the WE Council. The group will focus on wellness and self-care, mindfulness, more tools for those who are moving forward to incorporate wellness into their every day lives.

This curriculum will continue to provide more information and tools for those in recovery to enhance their domains of wellness: intellectual, socio-cultural, spiritual, emotional, physical, environmental and financial. The curriculum combines skills for emotional and physical wellness.

I love Myself

The main idea behind this program is to teach yourself how to love yourself.

Navigating Grief

Grief comes in many forms and from many situations. Sometimes we think we are prepared for the loss, but sometimes it comes as a surprise. Regardless of the circumstances, understanding the process of grief can help us know what to expect and steps we can take in our grief journey. Whatever type of loss you have suffered, there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

10-week group utilizing Social-emotional learning (SEL) through a Cognitive Behavioral and Mindfulness curriculum

Who Qualifies:

Mindfulness and Meditation

An 8 week group where participants will learn and practice mindfulness techniques, introduction to meditation and benefits, and how to incorporate these practices together in daily life to reduce stress, improve focus, enhance emotional regulation, and improve overall mental health. Additional benefits can include pain management and better sleep.

Be A Cool Kid/Anger Management for Kids

This group will help kids understand their anger: what is anger, signs, triggers and responses and provide coping strategies.

The curriculum will be in kid friendly language and will help the kids learn more about their anger, what coping strategies are, teach specific anger related coping strategies and each child will have cards to remind them of the different ways to manage their anger positively.

Utilizing Person Centered Therapy to help increase well-being and self-care, by taking care of our emotions, phyiscal health, mind and thoughts.

Using Community Coping: This social group allows woman with little or no support systems to share their story with others also struggling (or have recently ovecome) both physical and mental health challeges. This process decreases isolation, encourages postive lifestyle choices, promotes self confidence and improved coping skills.
